Contact Release

This training is designed for anyone potentially exposed to high-voltage circuits, equipping them with lifesaving skills to perform Contact Release on an electric shock victim.

In this course, participants will:

• Clearly define the purpose and importance of Contact Release in high-voltage environments
• Identify the primary goals of a successful rescue of a person who cannot self-release from an electrical source
• Describe the characteristics and conditions of a person who requires a rescue
• List alternative items that can be used to perform a Contact Release if a rescue hook is unavailable
• Memorize and recall the three critical steps involved in performing a successful rescue
