Ed King

Edward F. King is a veteran public transit executive who has served in leadership roles for agencies across the country. As the new Director of Transit Services of the City of Santa Monica's Big Blue Bus, Mr. King oversees services that transport 20 million riders annually across more than 51-square miles of Los Angeles' west side.

Within California, Mr. King has also served as the Executive Director of San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority and Vice President of Operations and System Security for Long Beach Transit.

Nationally, Mr. King has served as Deputy Director of Valley Metro Regional Public Transit Authority in Phoenix Arizona, Deputy Executive Director for Operations for Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority in Clearwater, Florida, General Manager of Operations for Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority for Tampa Florida and Deputy Director North Suburban Mass Transit District of Des Plaines, Illinois.

His broad and deep experience includes labor union negotiating, technology and security planning, and development and administration of operating and capital grant-funded programs.
